The sixth weekend of the Premier Hockey Federation season began outdoors at Riverworks in the Buffalo Believes Classic.
Toronto Six 2, Buffalo Beauts 1
Carly Jackson made 24 saves in her second start of the season, returning to Buffalo and backstopping Toronto to a one-goal win over their cross border rivals and her former Beauts teammates. Brittany Howard opened the scoring for T6 with her 12th goal in nine games, and Lexi Templeman netted the winner midway through the third period. Both finished with two points, along with linemate Breanne Wilson-Bennett. Claudia Kepler maintained her point-per-game pace with Buffalo’s lone goal, scoring for the second straight outdoor classic. Last season she produced the game-winner and Jackson earned the shutout. Kassidy Sauve made her third-straight start for the Beauts and stopped 28 of 30.
