The final weekend of the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season began Friday night at The Rink at American Dream where the host Riveters took on the Beauts wearing special rainbow jerseys to celebrate Pride.

The Riveters scored four unanswered goals to extend their winning-streak to three and clinched a fifth place finish in the overall standings. Trailing 2-1 midway through the second period, Kelly Babstock scored her 10th goal of the season with a shorthanded breakaway snipe. Madison Packer’s 10th of the year gave the Riveters their first lead late in the middle frame, followed by third period insurance goals by Amanda Pelkey and Fanni Gasparics. Minttu Tuominen made history with the Riveters first goal scoring her ninth of the season and setting a PHF single season record with her sixth on the power play. Sarah Bujold led the offense with three assists. Courtney Maud put Buffalo on the board first with her fifth goal and 10th point of the season. Mikyla Grant-Mentis picked up an assist and scored the Beauts’ second goal to bring her season total to team-high 20 points. Katie Burt made 22 saves for her fifth win of the season, while Lovisa Berndtsson stopped 31 in defeat. This marks the first time the Riveters have won three-straight games since their 2017-18 Isobel Cup championship season.
