A rivalry sweep of then-No.2 Boston U helps keep Boston College atop NCAA.com correspondent Jordan Menard’s Power 5 rankings for a third-straight week, while North Dakota soars after dominating Denver over the weekend.
Here’s how Menard’s complete top-5 shakes out after a hectic week of men’s hockey
No. 1 Boston College (Previous: 1) — My number one, for a third straight week, is Boston College. This team is young, fast and gritty, and that freshmen line is unbelievable. My personal star of the week was Jacob Fowler, as some of the saves he was making this weekend were unbelievable. If you weren’t watching the BC-BU matchup this weekend, lucky for you because the matchup happens again soon in the Beanpot next week.

No. 2 North Dakota (Previous: NR) — The Fighting Hawks get the sweep over then-No. 4 Denver, outscoring the Pios on the weekend 9-4. Jackson Blake and Cameron Berg both shined with a goal and an assist on the weekend.

No. 3 Boston University (Previous: 2) — BU was swept this weekend in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup versus Boston College, where Jack Hughes scored on Friday and in Saturday’s 4-3 loss Shane Lachance, Sam Stevens and Macklin Celebrini all found the back of the net.
No. 4 Maine (Previous: NR) — Maine had a bye week this week. The Black Bears will head over to Massachusetts this weekend where they will face off against Northeastern and UMass.
No. 5 Wisconsin (Previous: 3) — Despite splitting at Yost with Michigan this week, the Badgers still sit fourth in the RPI with 20 wins. And with the 6-5 overtime win on Saturday, where Christian Fitzgerald got the game-winner, Wisconsin is my No. 5 team.
