Guelph, ON – Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2022 third round pick Rowan Topp has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the hockey club.
The 6’2, 197 lbs defenceman from Saint Anns, Ontario was selected 59th overall in this year’s OHL Priority Selection.
“The Guelph Storm are very pleased to receive a commitment from Rowan and his family,” said General Manager George Burnett. “Rowan brings a unique combination of size, skating, physicality and the ability to move the puck effectively.”
The 2006-born Topp is a product of the GTHL’s North York Rangers U16 AAA program where he had an excellent 2021-22 campaign. The right-handed blueliner recorded 7 goals, 10 assists for 17 points in 45 games. Topp played 4 games at the 2022 OHL Cup Showcase for the North York Rangers U16 squad where he recorded a goal.
