After losing to the New Jersey Devils by a 4-1 final score on Friday (Oct. 4), the Buffalo Sabres looked for redemption against the Devils today (Oct. 5). Unfortunately, the Sabres fell short of their goal, losing to the Devils by a 3-1 final score. With this, the Devils swept the Global Series against Buffalo.

To add insult to injury, the Devils’ official X account trolled the Sabres following Buffalo’s loss.
The Sabres played the Devils at O2 Arena in Prague for the Global Series. Because of this, the Devils’ X account posted a video of the arena where they edited “O2” to “0-2” and then added a picture of the Sabres’ logo in the zero.
Ouch.
While the Sabres dropped their first two games of the year against the Devils, they will have another opportunity to get their revenge on the Metropolitan Division club. They face off against the Devils next on Feb. 2 and will look to pick up the win, especially after being trolled in this manner.
However, before then, the Sabres will aim to get things back on track after their rough start. The Sabres return to the ice on Oct. 10, where they will face off against the Los Angeles Kings.
