Radek Faksa is not the guy one would search through the St. Louis Blues roster to be the one to look for instant offense from.
With one goal and one assist through 16 games this season, the 30-year-old centers the ‘WTF Line,’ a line that has been consistently consistent through an up-and-down stretch for the Blues (7-9-0), who begin a three-game road trip today at 6:30 p.m. against the Buffalo Sabres (7-8-1).
With the Blues currently on a three-game slide, perhaps it’s the unknown that lifts them up, getting a greasy goal from a member of this line, one that works and will make the small, necessary plays with the puck.
Faksa hasn’t scored since the second game against the San Jose Sharks, but he does seem to pop up on the scoresheet against the Sabres with nine points (five goals, four assists) and is a plus-10 in 12 career games.
