The Stanley Cup Final teams have been set.
The Vegas Golden Knights will take on the Florida Panthers in a matchup of the top team in the Western Conference vs. the bottom playoff seed in the Eastern Conference.
But the Panthers have knocked off the No. 1 overall Boston Bruins, No. 4 overall Toronto Maple Leafs and No. 2 overall Carolina Hurricanes to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1996. The No. 5 overall Golden Knights beat the Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2018.
They each won a game in their season series.
Neither team has won a championship, so there will be a first-time Stanley Cup winner for the first time since the 2019 St. Louis Blues.
