Tanner Pearson Signs PTO With Canucks Division Rival

by admin

Tanner Pearson is on his way back to the Pacific Division. The one-time Vancouver Canucks winger has signed a PTO with the Vegas Golden Knights after playing last season with the Montreal Canadiens. In 54 games with the Canadiens, Pearson scored five goals and recorded 13 points while posting a plus/minus of -12.

After four and a half seasons with the Canucks, Pearson was traded prior to the start of the 2023-24 season to Montreal, along with a third-round pick for Casey DeSmith. During his time in Vancouver, the former Stanley Cup Champion played 221 regular season games and recorded 114 points. Pearson was also part of the Canucks 2020 playoff run, scoring four goals and recording eight points in 17 games.

Unfortunately, Pearson’s final season in Vancouver was anything but ideal. In 2022, he suffered a significant left-hand injury that limited him to 14 games. Luckily, Pearson recovered and was able to continue his career with the Canadians and now the Golden Knights.

If Pearson is able to make Vegas’ roster, his first game against the Canucks will be on December 19 at T-Mobile Arena. The Pacific division rivals will play four times this season, with the first game at Rogers Arena occurring on April 6. The two teams will then conclude their season against each other on April 16 with a matchup in Vancouver.
