Paquette-Bisson and Pouliot were placed on waivers Monday for the purpose of assignment to the AHL.
A product of Rosemere, Que., Paquette-Bisson spent last season playing for the Laval Rocket where he collected nine goals and 18 assists for 27 points in 69 regular season games. Although he has never seen an NHL game, Paquette-Bisson has collected 69 points in 214 regular season AHL games.
Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Pouliot spent the 2023-24 season splitting time between the Dallas Stars and Texas Stars. In five games with Dallas, he went pointless. With Texas, Pouliot scored nine goals and added 37 assists for 46 points in 64 regular season games.
With both defenders having put up great numbers at the AHL level, it is likely that both will be heavily relied upon by the Crunch throughout the regular season. Furthermore, if the Lightning are bit by the injury bug, both of them could be solid options to play depth minutes.
