Guildford Flames have announced the departure of forward Sean Norris with immediate effect.
Norris featured 20 times for the club in all competitions, scoring once and adding a further assist, following his move from Belfast Giants in May.
He made his debut for the Giants during the 2022/23 season whilst on a two-way deal with National Ice Hockey League side MK Lightning. In total, he made 79 appearances for the multi-time Elite League champions.
“We are very disappointed”
Part of the junior programme at Bracknell, Norris spent some of his development years honing his craft in Czechia with Pisek and Dukla Jihava.
On the international stage, he made his debut for Great Britain during their Olympic Qualifiers last season and went on to feature at the World Championships in Prague earlier this year.
“Sean came to me early in the week to let me know what he had decided based on personal circumstances, and that making this decision was the best one for him at this time,” Flames head coach Paul Dixon said.
“Obviously, we are very disappointed with that. We really hate to see him go, but we thank him for his time here and wish him well going forward.”
