Nylander, 26, signed with the Maple Leafs back on Nov. 22 after starting the season on an AHL deal with their affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. In five games with the Maple Leafs following signing his NHL contract, he had zero points and a minus-1 rating.

Down in the AHL with the Marlies this season, Nylander has eight goals and 12 points in 14 games.

Teams looking for more depth scoring could consider taking a flier on Nylander. He notably ended last season on a heater after being acquired by the Columbus Blue Jackets, posting 11 goals and 15 points in 23 games.

Nylander was selected by the Sabres with the eighth-overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. In 19 games over three seasons as a Sabre, Nylander had three goals, three assists, and a minus-9 rating.
