Cam Fowler (32) leads the Ducks in average ice time per game with 21:17 but now finds himself on IR after missing the team’s last two contests with an upper-body injury. He is currently eligible for activation as he’s seven days removed (retroactively) from his injury date.
Fowler has totaled two assists in 12 games this season and has been primarily paired with Olen Zellweger at 5v5.
He had been a staple on the team’s second penalty kill unit and had seen sporadic time on the power play.
Report: Ducks and Fowler ‘Working on What His Future Could Look Like’
Joining Fowler on IR is newly acquired veteran forward Robby Fabbri. Fabbri (28) missed the Ducks’ team practice on Tuesday and will be out until at least Nov. 18, when the Ducks will take on the Dallas Stars.
Fabbri has played throughout the Ducks’ forward depth chart in the early part of the 2024-25 season.
He had been a key piece to the team’s penalty kill and was featured on a new-look checking line in the team’s recent 4-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets alongside Isac Lundestrom and Brock McGinn.
The trio played over ten minutes against Columbus’ top line (Fantilli-Monahan-Marchenko) on Sunday, and while their possession numbers weren’t impressive (37.04% Corsi), they were diligent in their assignments and didn’t give up many dangerous looks.
Trade: Ducks Acquire Robby Fabbri and Draft Pick from Red Wings in exchange for Prospect
Fabbri has undergone three ACL surgeries in his playing career, the most recent coming near the end of the 2021-22 season when he was a member of the Detroit Red Wings.
According to the Ducks, Fowler and forward Mason McTavish (21) are day-to-day. They didn’t offer such a timeline for Fabbri.
McTavish missed Sunday’s game against the Blue Jackets with an upper-body injury.
With McTavish still listed as active, the team has 12 forwards, six defensemen, and three goalies on their active roster. James Reimer was placed on waivers on Tuesday but is still listed on the roster.

According to AHL Transactions, the San Diego Gulls’ (Ducks AHL affiliate) roster remains unchanged. The Gulls will play in San Jose against the Barracuda on Wednesday night at 7 pm PST.
If a recall isn’t made, it’s likely McTavish will be in the lineup for the Ducks on Wednesday against the Golden Knights.
