The lead would expand to 2-0 later in the first as Ryan Reifler ’24 notched his second power-play goal in as many nights. His goal was set up by a Chance Gorman ’24 shot that hit the post and began a scramble in front of the net. Reifler got good wood on it and dunked it home, giving the Soaring Eagles a 2-0 lead after one frame.
The onslaught continued in the second period for the Soaring Eagles. First, Cole Tucker ’25 recorded another power-play goal, his second in as many nights. His goal was assisted by Gorman and Shane Haviland ’24.

With 5:20 remaining, Skidmore finally got on the board. Scott Lagos snuck one through Brody Haynes ’26, ending the junior’s shutout bid.
Young’s empty-net goal put the game away for good with 2:14 remaining in the third.
