PINE VALLEY, N.Y. — Senior Jess Adams ’21 produced six assists, tying an Elmira College single-game record, as the Soaring Eagles (9-1-0, 9-0-0 UCHC) cruised past visiting Chatham University (6-4-0, 6-4-0, UCHC) on Friday night by a 12-0 final score.

The six assists from Adams places her in a four-way tie for the EC record. She joins the likes of Laura Hurd ’05, Charissa Gawant ’05, and Ashley Ryan ’15.

Adams led the Elmira women in points this evening with six, all coming on assists, including one on tonight’s game-winner from Tristen Tolan ’21. Tolan was not far off of the pace set by Adams, as she logged a career-high five points on four goals, also a career high, and one assist. Of her four goals, one was scored shorthanded, giving her three on the season.

Kelly Matthews ’23 matched Tolan’s goal output with four. Three of her goals were scored in the second period alone, as she set a new career high for goals and points.

Including Adams, Tolan and Matthews, Elmira had 16 skaters produce points, eight of which were multi-point scorers.

Devyn Gilman ’21 (1g-1a), Brooke McArdle ’22 (1g-1a), Morgan Mordini ’22 (1g-1a), Eliza Beaudin ’22 (1g-1a) and Kelly Millins ’23 (0g-2a) all finished with two points each. Gilman’s assist was credited on Tolan’s shorthanded goal.

Single-point getters were Sydney Harris ’21, Bella Hanson ’21, Emma Crocker ’21, Jenny Heath ’22, Claire Meeder ’23, Lexi Hoffmann ’24 and Madi Morton ’24, all of whom were credited with one assist. Hoffman’s assist was registered on tonight’s game-winning goal.

In net, Elizabeth Hanson ’21 made her ninth start of the season. She amassed 15 saves in a shutout effort, the 14th shutout of her career, which placed Hanson in a two-way tie for sixth place in EC history. Additionally, Hanson collected the 30th win of her career, which moved her into a two-way tie for eighth place in program history.
