Bruins draft pick Frederic Brunet has perfect offseason training partner originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
Frederic Brunet is hoping he can one day be an impact defenseman for the Boston Bruins, and while he has a lot of hard work left to get there, he’s definitely learning from one of the best.
Brunet was selected by the Bruins with the No. 132 overall pick (fifth round) in the 2022 NHL Draft on Friday.

He tallied 46 points (12 goals, 34 assists) in 63 games for Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL.
Brunet met with reporters shortly after being drafted and revealed his offseason training partner is Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron.

There’s no better training partner in the league than Bergeron, whose work ethic, dedication and hockey IQ have helped make him a Stanley Cup champion, a five-time Selke Trophy winner and a future Hall of Famer.
If all goes well for Brunet, maybe he’ll get a chance to play with Bergeron in Boston at some point.
