Taylor Hall gives positive injury update before Bruins’ season opener originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Taylor Hall missed the Bruins’ last three preseason games with an upper body injury, but he should be good to go for Wednesday night’s regular season opener against the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena.

“I feel good, on track to play on Wednesday,” Hall said Monday at Bruins’ Media Day. “It was an injury that was pretty painful at the start and then it got better really quickly and I was able to start skating.

“Probably if this happens middle of the season, I don’t know if I miss one game or maybe zero. We’re just trying to be cautious, but ready to play Wednesday.”

Bruins’ contract talks with Pastrnak ongoing as NHL season opener nears

Hall practiced Monday without any contact limitations on the first line alongside Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk. The Bruins already are without one top-six left winger in Brad Marchand, who isn’t likely to return to the lineup until late November as he continues rehabbing from offseason hip surgery.

Hall is entering his second full season with the Bruins. He tallied 61 points (20 goals, 41 assists) in 81 games during the 2021-22 campaign.
