Eby Inks Professional Contract with Vermilion County Bobcats

ELMIRA, N.Y.  — Two-year men’s ice hockey captain and defenseman Adam Eby ’21 has inked his first professional contract, signing with the Vermilion Country Bobcats out of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) this past Sunday. The Bobcats play its home games in Danville, Illinois. 

As a defenseman, Eby scored 5 goals and added 2 assists for 7 points along with 25 blocks this season for the Soaring Eagles while leading the team to the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championships for the first time in ten seasons. Totaling 8 goals with 10 assists for 18 points in his career with Elmira, Eby made his debut on Sunday in Vermilion County’s 5-0 loss to the Quad City Storm.

The Bobcats have six games remaining in its 2021-22 regular-season slate, with the season concluding on April 9 when they play host to the Peoria Rivermen on April 9.
