Former Wild Forward Signs With Blackhawks’ AHL Team

The former Minnesota Wild forward has just signed with the Chicago Blackhawks’ American Hockey League (AHL) team the Rockford IceHogs. Gerry Mayhew spent five years in the Wild’s organization.

Mayhew, 31, played 228 career games with the Wild’s AHL team. He recorded 97 goals, 81 assists, and 178 points.

In 17 NHL games with the Wild, Mayhew recorded two goals and one assist. In his NHL career, Mayhew has 13 goals, two assists, and 15 points in 57 games with the Wild, Philadelphia Flyers, and Anaheim Ducks.

The 5-foot-9 forward has now signed an AHL deal with the Blackhawks.
