Generals’ captain Rolofs commits to University of OttawaOshawa Generals captain Stuart Rolofs will play close to home in 2024-25, committing to the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees men’s hockey program on Friday.
The 6-foot-3, 200Ib. left-winger from Carp, Ont. recently completed a four-year OHL career that included 80 goals, 87 assists and 167 points over 219 regular season games, accompanied by 18 points (6-12–18) over 32 career playoff outings. Rolofs and the Generals captured an Eastern Conference title this past spring, with the overage captain contributing 11 points (5-6–11) in 21 playoff matchups.
Originally drafted by the London Knights in the first round (20th overall) of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, Rolofs joined the Generals in December 2021 and went on to produce back-to-back 32-goal seasons for the Gennies.
Rolofs joins other recent OHL commitments joining the Gee-Gees in Zacharie Giroux (Sudbury), Mitchell Martin (Kitchener) and Cam Gauvreau (Peterborough).
