Samantha Pell: Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson has surgery on his left knee to reconstruct a torn ACL. Wilson is expected to be out for six to eight months.

Bruce Garrioch: Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion said that Tim Stutzle suffered the same knee injury at the World Championships that he did during the regular season and will be out for two weeks.

The Penguins re-sign Taylor Fedun

Pittsburgh Penguins: The Penguins have re-signed defenseman Tylor Fedun to a two-year contract extension with an AAV of $762,500.
