Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen when asked if he were to be traded this offseason: âIâm fine with that.â
TSN: Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams said that Jack Eichel hasnât asked for a trade. Adams also doesnât think that there is a disconnect between the team and Eichel regarding his injury.
Adams on some of the veterans questioning their future in Buffalo: âWe are going to get this right with the people who want to be here.â
Adams said that interim coach Don Granato has done a âtremendous jobâ but added that heâll be doing a wide-ranging search.
âI think (Granato) believes heâs ready and capable of being the head coach of this team, and now weâll go through the process,â Adams said.
Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News: GM Adams on some of the veterans discontent.
âItâs more about are you part of the solution and do you want to be here and do you want to be part of something great?â Adams said. âAnd do you want to make this fanbase proud or donât you? And if the answerâs no, then weâll make those decisions.â
He does understand some of their frustration with losing.
âI understand thereâs players, veteran-type players that have been through a lot here,â Adams said. âUnderstood. But we are going to get this right â with the people that want to be here.â
