The North Bay Battalion have announced that returning captain and Florida Panthers prospect Liam Arnsby will lead a group of six alternate captains that include Avery Winslow, Kyle McDonald, Matvey Petrov, Ty Nelson, Paul Christopoulos and Justin Ertel for the 2022-23 season.
Arnsby enters his third season with the Battalion after being selected by the Troops in the first round, ninth overall, in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. He recorded nine goals, 17 assists and 26 points in 46 games played last season, before leading the Troops all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Battalion’s six returning players wearing the “A” will split into two leadership groups based on home and away games. The home alternates are Winslow, McDonald and Petrov, while their road counterparts are Nelson, Christopoulos and Ertel.
