NHL Power Rankings: Where Bruins stand in loaded Eastern Conference
The 2021 first-round draft pick is unlikely to return to the WHL in 2022-23. The most likely outcomes for Lysell to begin the upcoming season are making the Bruins’ roster or getting his first taste of AHL action with the Providence Bruins.
The Bruins are going to be without three key players to begin the season due to injuries — Brad Marchand, Matt Grzelcyk and Charlie McAvoy — and all of them provide valuable scoring production. In an effort to replace that offense, the Bruins should give Lysell a chance to prove himself at the NHL level early on.
