BREAKING: Canucks’ Boeser Tallies 400th Career Point

by admin

On a busy Friday night in Vancouver, Brock Boeser got even busier. With a goal and an assist in the Canucks’ game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the forward notched the 400th point of his career. The milestone came in the third period of a 5–2 victory for Vancouver.

Boeser is coming off of a career-high in goals last season with 40, and currently sits tied for fourth on the team with seven. With 16 points in 18 games played, he’s tied with J.T. Miller for fifth on the team in overall point scoring. His last goal was scored on November 5 in a 5–1 win against the Anaheim Ducks. He missed seven games after taking a hit from L.A. Kings forward Tanner Jeannot, and made his return to the lineup in a game against the Boston Bruins.

Drafted 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, Boeser has scored all of his career points with the Vancouver Canucks. He made his NHL debut on March 25, 2017, scoring his first NHL goal in front of his family and friends in a matchup against the Minnesota Wild. In his first full NHL season, he made an impressive 29-goal, 26-assist campaign for the Calder Memorial Trophy, but ended up placing second in voting to the New York Islanders’ Mat Barzal.

With the goal and assist in the Friday night game, Boeser now has 186 goals in his career, tying him for twelfth in Canucks history with Don Lever.
