To get Flames Hockey fans in the spirit for the upcoming seasons of Liberty University’s ACHA Division I, II, and III men’s and DI women’s hockey teams, the Club Sports videography staff has put together highlight reels of the top 10 plays of the 2020-21 year for all four squads, with the first one released this week showcasing the best goals scored by the DIII men.
In their first season under Head Coach Josh Graham, the Flames advanced to the ACCHL Tournament Championship before falling to rival Coastal Carolina in overtime for the third time of the spring semester, March 23 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Led by junior forward Scott Chisholm, senior forward Adam Partridge, and senior defenseman T.J. Moores, Liberty featured some fantastic feeds and spectacular scores throughout the shortened season and playoffs.
The Flames will return all but Partridge and Moores from last year’s squad, which included seven freshmen and seven sophomores as well as five juniors who will lead Liberty in 2021-22. After tryouts in late August, Graham also will have a few new additions to the roster who will look to make an immediate impact in his second season at the helm.
Watch for the DI and DII men’s and DI women’s Top 10 highlight videos on their respective team pages in the coming weeks, leading up to the Flames’ DI men’s season opener against Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Sept. 17 at the LaHaye Ice Center.
