McCue was selected by the Maple Leafs in the seventh round (216th overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft and will report back to the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL.
Muranov was returned to the Calgary Hitmen. The Russian is coming off a season with the junior team where he had 22 goals and 28 assists in 63 games.
Holinka and Finnie were both sent back to the Edmonton Oil Kings. It will be Holinka’s first season in the WHL after spending the last two years playing in Czechia. The 6-foot-2 forward was selected by the Maple Leafs in the fifth round (151st overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Finnie returns to the Oil Kings after earning an invite to the Leafs Rookie Tournament Showdown against the Montreal Canadiens. Finnie made headlines when he collided with prospect Ben Danford. The defenseman is still recovering from a concussion sustained in that practice.
