MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with forward MK Boyle ’26 earning Rookie of the Week accolades for Women’s Ice Hockey.
The Newport, Rhode Island native helped the Soaring Eagles complete a come-from-behind victory in Elmira’s season-opener against Utica on Friday at the Murray Athletic Center. Boyle tallied her first collegiate goal late in the third period to help fourth-ranked Elmira rally past the Pioneers 3-2.
Boyle’s game-winning goal came at the 17:37 mark of the third period after Elmira erased a 2-1 deficit late in the second period. Boyle finished the game with two shots and a +1 plus/minus rating.
The Soaring Eagles open NEHC action this weekend on the road with a matchup against Southern Maine on Friday at 6:00 P.M. before facing Salem State on Saturday at 3:00 P.M.
