LAS VEGAS — Golden Knights heavy hitter Keegan Kolesar already ranked third all-time in franchise history for hits, but during Friday’s 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars the 27-year-old reached a new milestone.
With a hit on Dallas defenseman Esa Lindell midway through the third period, Kolesar became the third Golden Knight to reach 1,000 hits.
Kolesar trails teammate and franchise hit leader Brayden McNabb (1,272) and former Knight William Carrier (1,116).
Kolesar leads the team with 89 hits this season, and is on pace to finish with 261. His career high was 279 hits during the 2022-23 season when the Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup.
Kolesar is also on pace for a career year in points. He has 10 (six goals, four assists) through 28 games, which puts him on pace for 29 points. His career-high is 17 during the 2021-22 campaign.
